The last 10%

We had a wonderful conversation with Jason Thigpen of Texas Heritage on the MWA Podcast this week.

Have I ever mentioned that before?

Did you know I co-host a woodworking podcast?

It's not about tips or tricks. Just a handful of people having a conversation that (mostly) centers around woodworking.

Anyway... Jason was telling us about the old building that he and his family have been renovating in Menard, TX. They've been working on it for the last 6 years.

And they're down to the last 10% of the job.

If you're anything like Jason and me, the last 10% feels like more than half the work. It's so tempting to call it done and move on to the next job.

But it's not really done.

And it makes a such a huge difference when you take it all the way to the end.

You can do it Jason!

This week's video...

This 6 minute video gives you a glimpse into what that last 10% looks like for me.

It's detailed work. It requires patience.

But the end result is supremely satisfying.

If you're building your own horse, I strongly suggest you push through that last 10%. You'll be happy you did.

If you want to build your own Pin-Head Shave Horse, you can buy a kit here.

If you'd rather someone else did that work for you, let me know and I'll contact you the next time I'm starting a batch.
