There are times when 10 minutes feels like an eternity to me. Ripping wood by hand is one of those times.
Especially when the stock is hard maple…
…and I'm out of practice...
…and my saw is dull.
I change my position. I move the work.
”Maybe this way will be faster. No. Maybe this way?”
The fastest way is, of course, to simply put your head down and get it done.
That and sharpen the saw.
